01/10 - Koppermann at the Munich Fabric Start from February 2nd to 4th 2010

For creatives and buying agents the Munich Fabric Start (February 2nd to 4th 2010) exhibition has become indispensable. 11/09 - Koppermann visiting the fashion school Sigmaringen

The privately held fashion school Sigmaringen, trains certified fashion designers. The headmasters of the school, Christine and Hartmut Hopf, set high importance on the ability to provide their students with not just the functional aspects of fashion design but also the ability to practically apply them to the working environment. Therefore their highly experienced faculty is drawn solely from the fashion industry. The school’s curriculum includes creative and manual design techniques as well as IT, product management and leadership credentials.

Hartmut Hopf makes more than 75 computers with design software, laser printers, scanners, and large scale plotters, all of which meet industry standards, available to his students. Sigmaringen has been teaching TEX-DESIGN™ since the beginning of 2008 semester.

Koppermann visited the school at the end of October this year to discuss with Herr Hopf a further expansion of the Koppermann Software in the school’s curriculum. While there Koppermann took the opportunity to provide the students with insights into the practical design processes of apparel companies and how to utilize the software to meet the demands. The visit was a resounding success. The number of Koppermann Tex-Design workstations will be increased and TEX-DEFINE™ (PDM/PLM system) and TEX-STORE™ (Visual Merchandising) will be introduced in the near future.

09/09 - TEX-STORE™ Conquers Brazil

The Koppermann International Partner Network is steadily growing allowing customers around the world to experience the high quality of the Koppermann software and its worldwide services. The Koppermann visual merchandising software, TEX-STORE™, and all the related services will be immediately available to the Brazilian market thanks to the support of Koppermann’s official Brazilian partner, Alexandre Gioppo. Mr. Gioppo is the managing director of Texware, a company specializing in providing CAD-Software to the Brazilian textile and apparel industry. His many years of industry-specific experience allow him to provide assistance in identifying the best possible the optimal software solution for his customers and the support to meet all of their requirements.

09/09 - Koppermann Enters the Australian Market

In August 2009 Koppermann took the leap to the other side of the world and introduced its software solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets. The first step was he presentation of TEX-STORE™ at the most important retail fair in Australia, the Retail Expo in Melbourne from August 11 –13.

“Koppermann in Australia” became possible as a result of a close cooperation with the company, Futura Australia. Over the last several years Futura Australia, established in 2000, has implemented its Futura software in several of Australia’s largest retailers. Brett Ashcroft, CEO of Futura Australia, whose previous experience includes many years in the retail apparel industry, is convinced that Koppermann Software will perfectly complement the product portfolio of Futura Australia. When making the collaboration announcement Mr Ashcroft said:

“I see many opportunities for Koppermann particularly in the Australian market. 06/09 – Koppermann participate in the regional corporate race

Schäftlarn (22nd June 2009)

Success for Koppermann at the regional corporate challenge run “Firmenlauf Oberland” on 17th June 2009 in Geretsried, Bavaria.

Team Koppermann finished 22nd from 280 companies – an incredible feat considering it was their first time entering the competition.

Koppermanns Top Sales Agent Gerhard Karl came in 6th place from 2000 runners with an incredible time of 17 min. His colleagues Madlen Gschwenter (Head of International Sales), Eddy Prescott (PL Tex-Store) and Rachid Baali (IT) supported him with times under 30 min.

All Koppermann team members enjoyed running and sweating under the evening sun.

05/09 - Koppermann sponsors football pitch for children’s home "Inselhaus"

The children’s home "Inselhaus" (translated as Island house) in Eurasburg, Germany, offers a home to children from underprivileged backgrounds providing them with a sense of well-being and security. In a beautiful environment, the children and teenagers are parented by a professional, caring team and have the chance to interact with their stunning Alpine surroundings including nature, animals, themselves and their friends.

The Koppermann Childrens foundation (known as Kinderfonds) has sponsored the construction of a small football pitch on the house grounds. Koppermann, with its feet firmly rooted in Bavaria is proud to support such a special project in the local community. We wish the children and employees the best of luck and a lot of fun on their new pitch!

04/09 - Record visitors for Koppermann at the 2009 Cologne IMB Show

During the recently concluded IMB exhibition that took place from the 21st to the 24th of April 2009 a record number of high level corporate and technology executives visited the Koppermann exhibition booth and expressed great interest in our Koppermann software solutions.

Much of the focus was on our collection developing visualization process, our new software-developments in the field of product-data management as exampled by the new TEX-DEFINE WEB, and our shop-floor planning. The total integration of Koppermann product development software solutions generated a great deal of attention as it is something that very few, if anyone, is able to offer.

The coming weeks will now be characterized by processing the large amount of contact information and extending them an invitation to take a closer look at our software and what it can provide. 02/09 - Koppermann at the Partner Stores Conference in Frankfurt on March 19th

The TextilWirtschaft magazine and the German Federal Association of Textile Retail are hosting the Partner Stores Conference 2009 in the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt/Main on March 19th. 12/08 - Wishes do come true at the TEX-DESIGN™ Workshop 2008

Green for Bavarian Christmas trees, red for Koppermann’s passion and white for the Bavarian snow – these were the colours that dominated our TEX-DESIGN™ Workshop 2008.

We were happy to welcome TEX-DESIGN™ users for our 11th annual workshop. The attendees represented many Koppermann customers including Hugo Boss, ESCADA, and Bogner and they were the first to learn about what is coming in the new TEX-DESIGN™ Version that will be released in the beginning of 2009 and discussed the general uses of the program.

The new features in the upcoming release focus mainly upon TEX-LINE which our customers greeted with great enthusiasm since many of their expressed wishes for the program were fulfilled and improved upon.

05/08 - Wolford Optimizing Work Flow with Koppermann Software

Wolford, the manufacturer of luxury leg and body-wear from Bregenz, has selected to implement the Koppermann Computersystemes PDM solution, TEX-DEFINE™.

The transparency and quick performance provided by Koppermann’s TEX-DEFINE™ will completely integrate the Wolford product development process into one application accelerating all aspects of the Wolford operation. TEX-DEFINE™ is a cross-departmental platform, which enables all entitled users to access information from product creation through the production cycle.

03/08 - Koppermann Biathlon-Adventure-Day with Uschi Disl

This 08 February 15 people as the guests of Koppermann experienced a day of sport and adventure under the personal supervision of the multi-biathlon-Olympia Champion, Uschi Disl.

The event, held at the Olympic facilities in Ruhpolding (Bavaria) focused on shooting and ice skating. Good organization, fantastic food, great weather and the amiability of the attendees made it a very special day and is bound to provide fond memories for all who attended.

12/07 - Koppermann TEX-DESIGN™ Workshop

The 2007 Koppermann TEX-DESIGN™ workshop was held in the Koppermann offices in Schäftarn in Christmas ambience. The attendees participated in a question and answer session which laid the foundation for the "Tips and Tricks" seminar where the users were brought up to date on the new functions available in the recently released version of Tex-Design, 7.0.228, and how to use the program to solve many of the problems apparel design can present.

We have always found this interaction with our users extremely necessary to help us keep Tex-Design one of the most advanced CAD design software programs in the world. At the end of the workshop there was a dinner which was attended by all of the Koppermann associates and the attendees.

05/07 - The Industry Meets at Koppermann TEX-DEFINE™ Workshop

The number of companies implementing the innovative software solutions from Koppermann continues to grow. This was most evident with the record breaking number of attendees at this year’s TEX-DEFINE Workshop.

The new customers used the opportunity to interact with experienced Koppermann-PDM-clientele. The spectrum of the workshop agenda went from "Tips and Tricks" in the daily usage of the software to individually customize solutions. Everyone gained useful ideas that they could use in their daily product development work.

Renowned companies like Rena Lange of Munich and Gabor Shoes of Rosenheim proudly made presentations detailing their successful TEX-DEFINE implementations. Rena Lange explained how the made to measure solution created for them by Koppermann significantly improved their user performance. Gabor Shoes demonstrated their impressive new TEX-DEFINE developments in data gathering and filtering including bills of materials - resulting in our first PLM-project in the foodwear sector.

Our innovative approach means we must be plugged into what’s happening in the industry, which is why the Workshops are an integral part of our philosophy. As a result we gained many new ideas and helpful suggestions for our future development of TEX-DEFINE™. What our customers require tomorrow we want to be the new TEX-DEFINE™ product feature of today.

We would like thank all of you who attended the workshop and we would like to invite you again next year. For those of you who could not make this workshop keep an eye out for the next one, you are all certainly welcome.

03/07 EuroCIS 2007: thank you for your visit!

After 3 exciting days the EuroCIS in Düsseldorf, Germany International Trade Fair for Communication, Information and Security Technology in Retail - came successfully to a close, on Thursday 01 March 2007.

Approximately 5,200 international trade visitors from all retail sectors traveled to the Rhine to investigate the wide spectrum of available information technology. A third of trade visitors (opposed to one in four in 2006) arrived from outside Germany's borders.

In conjunction with Futura Retail Solution AG, Germany, Koppermann Computersystems presented our software solutions, which were greeted with great enthusiasm by many of the show’s visitors. Our Visual Merchandising product, TEX-STORE™, is beginning to develop into a "must have" for successful lifestyle brands.

12/06 - Witt Weiden selects TEX-STORE™

The underwear, linen and apparel speciality store chain, Witt Weiden, has selected Koppermann’s TEX-STORE™ 3D software application to centrally manage their assortment presentations in their 46 shops in southern Germany.

The assortment plan can be simulated in a three-dimension store TEX-STORE™ environment before Witt Weiden has to make any commitment to its resources concerning styles, colors or quantities. Once in the stores, accurate and timely information relating to the in-shop performance of the assortment presentation will provide Witt Weiden with the ability to accelerate the corporate communication and workflow allowing them to more quickly react to sales performance.

The customers’ shopping habits can also be analysed and applied to the next assortment plan, which can result in an increased future sales and enhance the shopping experience between their customers and Witt Weiden.

Our many thanks go out to all the teachers and professors at independent design schools and universities who participated in the first Koppermann Teacher's Day. The seminar consisted of discussions concerning Koppermann’s TEX-DESIGN™ software, a review of 'tips and tricks' when using the software as well as a review of the new innovations included in the recently released TEX-DESIGN™ 7.0.

09/06 - Koppermann to address the Fashion Business Congress and Fashion Efficiency Day

Andreas Lachner, Managing Director of Koppermann Computersysteme GmBH, will be one of the main presenters at the 4th Annual Fashion Business Congress and Fashion Efficiency Day. Hosted by TextilWirtschaft, the leading German fashion magazine, and the National Federation of German Textile Retailers Inc., the Fashion Business Congress is Europe’s leading platform for communication and information in the fashion retail sector.

Addressing the Congresses lead theme, Sales Success through Visual Floor Space Optimization, Lachner will discuss the advantages of virtual merchandising software and its impact on product analysis within a specific retail environment. Studies have shown these cutting edge tools increase turnover and improve communications between the manufacturer and the selling floor, resulting in fewer markdowns and higher stock turnovers, all issues of increasing importance to the product managers, floor planners, merchandisers, analysts and sales managers who will be attending.

08/06 - A Safer Way to School for Kids in Schäftlarn, Germany

Koppermann Computersysteme GmbH, based in Schäftlarn near Munich, has sponsored Street histories with Moritz and Luise, publishing company Timpass, a booklet on street safety. Written by Nina Petrich, for nursery and primary school children, the 20 page booklet features important safety tips, and engaging artwork and is designed to teach young children proven techniques for avoiding traffic accidents. The booklet is being distributed to teachers for classroom use.

New York, May 16 2006….. Koppermann Software and Wacoal America, Inc. have announced the successful implementation of the Koppermann Database Line List and its 3-Dimensional visual merchandising software, TEX-STORE™.

Wacoal America and its Japanese parent, Wacoal Corp. are world leaders in the intimate apparel industry and are internationally known for the best fitting, highest quality bras in the world.

05/06 Koppermann participates in Microsofts' Smarter Fashion Initiative

Short seasonal and trend-conditioned product cycles, coupled with a growing demand for vertical processes, pose a particular problem for design and apparel companies. In an effort to help them meet this growing challenge Microsoft has founded Smarter Fashion, a major initiative to be introduced on September 12th, 2006, in Neuss, Germany.

01/06 Futura Retail Solution exhibit at the EuroCIS exhibition from 14-16.02.06

Just one year after EuroShop 2005 closes its doors the next important diary date for decision-makers in the IT and security technology field of the retail industry is EuroCIS which takes place in February 2006 in Düsseldorf.

The combination of using both FuturERS from Futura Retail Solution AG and TEX-STORE(TM) from koppermann has resulted in the following benefits; you can now visuale your budget planning not ony in the traditional numeric values but now also in the store environment. This allows the merchandiser to process orders after being certain that the order will optimise sales performance specific to a store environment. It also allows users to see in advance the development of a store merchandising concept.

08/05 Adidas launches TEX-STORE™

Adidas implements TEX-STORE™ - a software programme for visual merchandising developed by Koppermann. The software is being used in the Retail-Marketing Area-Central division and serves for virtual shop floor management as well as for the creation of walkthrough movies where entire Adidas stores are presented as a live experience.

Amongst other things, TEX-STORE™ generates specific information and descriptions for each individual fixture module concerning the garments and their placement. Changes in the current collection can also being communicated via the so called re-assortment movies.

Gabor, the worldwide shoemaker and undisputed German footwear market leader located in Rosenheim, Germany, with an annual turnover of 245 million Euros, has announce its decision to implement the Koppermann Tex-Define PDM software.

07/05 UK: New Bhs Design Studio Invests In Tex-Design ™

Leading high street retailer Bhs has invested in apparel design software from Tex-Data in its new design studios. Thirteen licenses of the Tex-Design CAD solution coupled with an extensive training schedule have recently been implemented. With the addition of the Tex-Knit™, Tex-Check™ and Tex-Line™ plug-ins, the design teams at Bhs will be able to create and present realistic imaging of their latest lines. Tex-Design is an apparel specific software application that enables the user to create realistic 2D images that represent the shape, colour and texture of a design before it has even been made. Paul Noonan, managing director of Tex-Data Design Ltd said: "Because Tex-Design is specific to the textile and apparel industry it can generate designs that are as technically enhanced as they are professionally designed, thus revealing a greater insight into the imagination and thought processes behind the designer's concepts."

All those who still know the TEX-DEFINE™ Version 2, will certainly miss the explorer tree in later TEX-DEFINE™ versions. Not only the usability but also the comprehension of folders and properties was extremely clear with the explorer tree because the folder/property ideology acts like the folder/file ideology in the Windows Explorer. Therefore we have re-integrated the explorer in TEX-DEFINE™ version 4 (beginning with version v4181) - at the moment only for the administrator. Not only can you change fast from folder to folder, in addition you can now also see exactly and very well itemised, which types of properties these folder comprise. It is even possible to modify the definition of a property. Are you as excited as we are? You will see that an old technology leaded to a new one which offers you a wide range of possibilities besides a faster working and administrative process.
